Current Career: Business Transfer Specialist – Murphy Business & Financial Services, LLC – Georgia. Dennis currently is a business broker and provides consulting services in the business community, the economic development areas, and is involved in retail/commercial property development and management.
Education: Dennis attended West Georgia College and the University of Georgia. He graduated from Kennesaw College with a (BBA) Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting & Economics) and an Associate Bachelor’s degree in Recreation from Kennesaw College.
Previous Employment: Dennis retired from a local petroleum marketer where he served as President and CEO for 12 years. Dennis, also retired from Georgia Power Company where he served as a Quality Control Facilitator for 12 years, and City of Cartersville Assistant Recreation Director.
Previous Business Experience: As a serial entrepreneur for the past 30 years, Dennis has owned, operated, and started such business ventures as; a bait shop, a landscaping company, several retail liquor outlets, several convenience stores, a traveling bar service, a specialty wine company, a truck stop, several money service operations, several tanning salons, a bowling center, and an independent mail, ship & PMB retail location.
During his years as an entrepreneur / business owner he has built and developed several commercial developments: including an office / business park, a strip center, a truck stop, several convenience stores, several restaurants, and several retail liquor outlets.
