As your business broker, Catherine “Cathy” Rice will make herself available to answer your questions and guide you through the process of buying and selling a business. Cathy states it is her goal to find the right fit for her clients. She promises to always represent you to the best of her abilities and follow all the details along the way.
Cathy is a licensed real estate broker in Georgia and South Carolina. Being a licensed broker is the most advanced role one can obtain in the industry. She prides herself on staying educated on current market trends. She has years of experience in business, which gives her the knowledge to understand the needs of her clients and to better negotiate for them.
Prior to real estate, Cathy worked in the healthcare industry for 30+ years. She worked as a consultant with Dr. Bill Harris of Practice Consultants and then with Dr. John Whitney of Whitney Transitions. Both icons in their profession. Whitney Transitions’ focus was to coach doctors on how to transition into a practice that they had purchased, how to start up practices, and how to run their businesses. During her time at Whitney Transitions, she consulted with doctors in the U.S. and Canada. Under the direction of Dr. Harris at Practice Consultants, she coached doctors on practice building techniques. Working with these two men is where she gained her strong sense of business practices, business ethics, and negotiating skills.
After working as a healthcare practice consultant, she and her husband started their own healthcare office. They successfully own and operate a Chiropractic office, which they still run today. Having her real estate license allows her to merge her healthcare experience with real estate, to broker the sale of businesses and specialize in healthcare offices.
For many years, Cathy managed healthcare offices and coached doctors and other healthcare professionals on how to grow their businesses. She has been a member of GABB for 2 years, during which time she has expanded her knowledge by attending an additional 45 hours of continuing specifically geared toward Business Brokering. Her membership in the Georgia Association of Business Brokers has helped her to acquire relationships needed during the sale or acquisition of a business.
