I became an accountant twenty years ago focused on how it could help me provide meaningful income for lifestyle for my family. After earning my CPA license about seventeen years ago, I moved to a larger firm and started to develop how my skills and expertise was of value to so many people. Tax and accounting are broad areas - I slowly began to move towards providing tax and planning services towards business owners. Moving to a smaller company in 2019 accelerated my focus and led me to seek out owning my practice so I could develop the client relationship I thought would be most helpful. I accomplished that in joining Dark Horse CPAs in 2021 as a principal.
I now have a staff of four where we work to help owners of small companies gain and maintain financial control, including over debt, profits and taking cash out of the company. Industries served include Medical / dental, software, logistics and construction trades. What stays consistent is how my team and I reply to all requests timely to help our clients have the tax and financial information needed to make better decisions.
