A native Pittsburgher, after her B.A. from Duquesne Univ. and Masters program at U. of Pittsburgh, Karen spent 8 years in Europe as a consultant in Germany and Austria. After that  she and her family moved to Atlanta and recently celebrated over 3 decades as an Atlantan.
